I love the Gardens, no matter what time of year. If you are lucky, you can see deer and squirrels and turtles. There is always something growing, even if it is only herbs in the Acadian garden by the thatched-roof cottage. The garden never looks the same. I was pleasantly surprised this week to see that some of the rhododendrons were in full bloom. It has a beautiful gift shop and I am always pleased to take our visitors there and through the property. I attend several times throughout the year to enjoy the plants, occasional live music, the cafe, and to admire the giftware.

A magical garden space with great family friendly events and walking paths to reconnect with nature. It would be nice if responsible pet owners could bring their furry friends, but I understand why it isn't allowed.

Kind of underwhelming but i did like the innovators garden and the Acadian house

Beautiful place, I enjoyed visiting here with my family this summer. I am not much of a garden lover but my mom and grandmother are and they loved it! I still enjoyed the walk and the cafe was nice too. I wouldn't say this was a "cheap" outing but definitely worth it if you enjoy these types of places. Everything was very well maintained and I liked hiw plants were usually labeled for people who don't know anything like me!

A must visit place if you're in Annapolis Royal

What a great place! Several acres of gardens including a 200 meter stretch along a creek with a variety of lilies and other flowers. Variety of types of plantings throughout. They have a good snack bar, too.

Love walking in the gardens. It's October and there are still lots of blooms in addition to the colourful leaves. A very peaceful place to visit any time of year.

Worth buying a season pass, the blooms change all the time.

We had a great time, the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The gardens are varried and welll maintained, complete with fountains, ponds and modern sculptures, even the trees look like sculpted works of art.

Well worth the visit. Very impressive gardens with fantastic landscaping. The tea house on the grounds is a nice touch. We also enjoyed the Victotian rose garden.

My good friend got married here. The garden is absolutely gorgeous and yet, not crowded. It is well maintained and simply serene.Aside from the typical garden setup (flowerbeds, ponds, various decorative installations) we saw an assortment of butterflies and even HUMMINGBIRDS (first time in my life!) Definitely worth the trip!!

World class gardens and beautiful sculptures from local artists. Includes exotic and local plants. The rose garden is stunning. Also includes an example of an historical home. They had a scavenger hunt the day we visited, which kept the kids busy. Worth a long visit.

Boy was this a treat! Better than any garden we've been to yet, with nice staff, a delicious cafe, and such wonderful variety of roses, fruits and veggies, local plants, and various collections of plant species such as rhododendrons, juniper, and day lilies. My wife and I will be back!

This is a lovely gardens. They have a wonderful heritage rose garden - if you're in to that. They also have an experimental garden area and demonstrated raised beds for those who can't bend, vertical gardens (built in a sort of lattice - fascinating) and even growing in hay bales. They also had heritage vegetables that looked amazing, Big juicy English cucumbers, little purple hot peppers that almost looked fake, and heritage tomatoes in all sorts of colors, and more.If you're in to gardens, then don't mis this place. If you have even a passing fancy, I think you''ll find something to really enjoy there.

I like to visit the gardens a few times a year. Late Spring, midsummer, late summer, and Autumn. Late spring brings all the lovely perfumes, midsummer is dedicated to roses, late summer is colour!, And early fall allows you to enjoy the trees in all their splendor. There is not a season to be missed. They even rent spaces in the winter. This garden is a dream, I visit several times a year

A beautiful place to take a stroll. Such a pretty place and so relaxing. If you don't see parking in front of the building there's plenty more across the street for free. Kids were free to get in and we got a military discount. 24 bucks for 2.Ensure to use the map they give so you don't miss a plant or tree. Excellent groomed paths to walk on. There's a cafe on site, though we didn't eat.Had to be a couple dozen artists around the premises, doing there thing. That was pretty cool too. It'll take an hr for sure. And if you like to walk slowly, it could take 2.On a hot sunny day bring some water, and an umbrella may not be a bad idea.

IΓ’β¬β’ve never seen anything so filled with everything most of which us casual gardener has never seen. If you think this is a small horticultural spot like we did, big mistake. Was better than the parks Canada exhibit at fort anne.

Absolutely loved the Gardens, visited on a warm day in late August, enjoyed ourselves so much we scrapped plans for going anywhere else on our last vacation day. Spent hours leisurely roaming the paths, listening to birds and relaxing on benches amidst beautiful old trees. The Elm Cafe was a pleasant surprise, with excellent salads and baking done on the spot. On a practical note, washrooms are conveniently placed at the entrance & in the cafe about halfway through the grounds. This place is a treasure.

I took the opportunity to visit recently, and the perspective of seeing the gardens early in the spring time was both refreshing and a relaxing stroll. The whole site is worth a visit any time of year, not just during the peak of the season. Spring gives a fine perspective of the end of winter and the promise that spring gives.
anne velemirovich
Beautiful spot, lovely flowers all round. Neither of us walk well but we could see virtually all the gardens. Well worth a visit.
Michael Gabriel

Beautiful place, very well tended. The farmers market here in annapolis royal is a must. This is a very vibrant community full of history. And if you're not into history then it has plenty of gorgeous views to offer. After the gardens stop in and see a play or go to an art gallery. It's no wonder people are moving here from all over the world!
Pat Clancy
This garden is beyond words. The layout is easy to follow and the walk is really easy. You set your own pace and can easily get around in 45 minutes. We loved the innovation garden and the rose garden. We were a little late for the blosums but that is certainly NOT their fault. They are Very accommodating and the whole atmosphere is heart warming.
Vicki Smith

Stunning gardens worth seeing all year long. The plant variety is varied and the garden is filled with a multitude of pathways that take you throughout this well planned and thought out garden. A must see.

The gardens are literally one of a kind. Great gardens, perfect paths, and the acadian house make it not only a beautiful walkthru but a learning experience for all. The little store, although a tad on the pricey side is full of lovely trinkets and books on gardening and cooking... And a trip there wouldn't be worth it if you didn't get to tease Sandra at the gift shop before you leave! She'll make your visit!
